NOTIFICATION  No. 42/2016-CUSTOMS (NT)

S.O. 1252 (E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of Sub - section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), number  63/94-CUSTOMS (NT), dated the 21st November, 1994, published in the Gazette of India,  Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O. 830 (E), dated the 21st November, 1994, namely:-
In the said notification, -
(A)  in the opening paragraph, after the ninth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely : -
“Provided also that Kakrawah is appointed as land customs station for the purpose of       clearance of baggage, passenger vehicles and tourist vehicles.”;
(B)  In the said notification, in the TABLE, against serial number 6 relating to land frontier of Nepal, in column 3  after item (26) and the corresponding entry relating thereto in column (4),   the following entry shall respectively be inserted, namely:-

    " (27) Kakrawah,  Siddharthnagar District, Uttar Pradesh
 
Road connecting Kakrawah in Siddharthnagar District, Uttar Pradesh and Karidah in Nepal”.
