Amendments in the Customs Notification No. 61/1994(NT) dated 21/11/1994

S.O. ……(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 61/94 – Customs (N.T.), dated the 21st November, 1994, published in the Gazette of India number S.O. 828 (E), dated the 21st November, 1994, namely:-

 

2.             In the said notification, in the table, against serial number 15 relating to the state of Tamilnadu, in column (3), against item (d) Madurai, for the entry under column (4), the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

 

(1) (2) (3) (4)
      “Unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods”.

Note:-     The principal notification No. 61/94-Customs (N.T.), dated the 21st November, 1994 was published vide number S.O.  828 (E), dated the 21st November, 1994 and was last amended vide notification No. 29/2013-Customs (N.T.), dated the 11th May, 2013 and published vide number S.O. 597(E), dated the 11th May, 2013.

Opinion

This notification seeks to amend the notification no. 61/94 – customs (N.T) dated 21st November, 1994 to authorize Madurai for unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods.
