Subject:- Prohibition on export of milk powders(including skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, dairy whitener and infant milk foods), Casein and Casein products.
 
S.O. (E)              In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government, with immediate effect,  makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 of  ITC(HS) Classification of Export & Import Items.
 
2.                A new entry at Sl. No. 33 B in Chapter 4 relating to “Dairy produce; bird's eggs; natural honey; edible products of animal origin, not elsewhere specified or included” of Schedule 2 of  ITC(HS) shall be added as follows:

3.        A new chapter 35 with Sl. No. 140 B is inserted in Schedule 2 of  ITC(HS) as follows:

4.        Effect of this notification: 

The export of milk powders (including skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, dairy whitener and infant milk foods), Casein and Casein products has been prohibited and hence not allowed to be exported till further orders.
